Harvey Weinstein wins Astaire Award for ‘Neverland’

Finding Neverland” was snubbed by the Tonys — but its producer, Harvey Weinstein, accepted an Astaire Award for the show this week.

“We need guys like me on Broadway,” the mogul quipped. He also told the award’s presenter, Mia Michaels — who called Weinstein “leader of ‘Finding Neverland’” — “I am not the leader of ‘Finding Neverland,’ that’s Diane Paulus. I’m just her badass brother.”

He defiantly said his show’s pulling in $1 million per week without any Tonys, and added to any critics who dissed his other show, “New York Spring Spectacular,” “I’ve got bad news for you: It’s going to be there next year, and the year after, and the year after that.”

Spotted among guests were Joel Grey and LuAnn de Lesseps.
