“Avengers” star Cobie Smulders’ had an unrealistic backup plan if acting didn’t work.
“I wanted to be a mermaid. I still kind of do, which is really weird,” she said at the Nautica Oceana City & Sea Party benefit. “When I was a kid, I wanted to be one so bad, I filled my tub with water and poured a bunch of salt in it and [lay] there for an hour thinking I could transform myself into a sea creature. It didn’t work.”
Smulders, the event’s co-host, was later heard telling a guest she “always wanted to be a marine biologist.”
