Perhaps millions of girls are screaming with excitement over Zayn Malik’s latest relationship news.
The former One Direction bandmate has called off his two-year engagement to fellow singer Perrie Edwards.
Malik reportedly broke it off two weeks ago. Edwards is said to be taking the news hard.
“She’s been putting on a brave face as Little Mix have had promotion to do, but she’s obviously devastated,” a source told People of the split. “Perrie’s being supported by her bandmates, but she’s really in pieces about this.”
The former couple, both 22, are currently in Los Angeles but have not seen each other.
Another sign that things could be over between Malik and Edwards? Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson posted a snapshot of a bikini-clad Edwards sans her engagement ring on Monday.
However, images of the couple remain sprinkled throughout Edwards’ social media accounts.

In related One Direction torment, Louis Tomlinson finally broke his silence regarding his impending fatherhood.
When asked by “Good Morning America” about it on Tuesday, Tomlinson said very shyly, “Thank you, yeah, obviously it’s a very exciting time, so I’m buzzing, thank you.”
