Katie Holmes’ summer-long fashion nightmare continues, but this time there’s a reason for her horrible outfit.
The actress, 35, was photographed, hair bedraggled, in a questionable, figure-hugging acid wash denim mini-dress in Queens Tuesday.
But this time there was a legitimate reason for Holmes’ ridiculous get-up: She was filming a scene for her upcoming movie “All We Had.”
The drama, which is also Holmes’ directorial debut, focuses on a down-on-their-luck mother and daughter during the financial crisis of 2008, who find a home in a quirky Midwestern town.
The news will come as a relief to the normally stylish star’s fans, who may be alarmed by some of her recent style choices — particularly a pair of red leopard leggings she paired with black and gold stilettos last week. Maybe she was just getting into character?
