Alexa Ray Joel — daughter of Long Island rock legend Billy — belted out the national anthem before the Islanders’ opening game at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
After the squad lost in overtime to the defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks, Alexa Ray was back to console a few hundred fans with her sonorous tones at the arena’s Billboard Lounge. Mom Christie Brinkley and Rosie Perez were spotted, and the singer closed with her dad’s “New York State of Mind.”
Also at the game: Brook Lopez and a number of Nets and boxer Paulie Malignaggi.
