That’s not a wedding ring!
So say friends of Gwen Stefani after reports that Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale’s been wearing his wedding ring around, even after the two have divorced and he’s been accused of cheating. Meanwhile Stefani had moved on with her “The Voice” co-star Blake Shelton.
Rossdale — who allegedly carried on an affair with the couple’s nanny, Mindy Mann, that was uncovered when Stefani found nude photos and naughty notes on an iPad — was spotted on Sunday in Los Angeles flashing a peace sign to photographers and revealing a “wedding ring” on his left ring finger.
“The press keeps writing about how Gavin is wearing his wedding ring. He’s not!” a friend of Stefani’s exclusively told Page Six. “The ring he’s currently wearing is a gift from a male friend.”
The source added, “Their ring [had] two ‘Gs’ engraved on it,” and the current one doesn’t.
We hear Stefani’s “incensed” over the perception that a pining Rossdale’s still wearing the band of gold she gave him at their wedding 13 years ago. “He was the first to move on,” said our source, alluding to Rossdale’s alleged affair. But “Gwen’s happy in her current situation with Blake.”
We hear that Stefani, who’s been added to the list of performers for Sunday’s American Music Awards, will use the occasion to perform her “breakup single,” “Used To Love You.” Also playing the LA show are Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Coldplay, One Direction, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor and Demi Lovato.
Meanwhile, Mann — who minded Stefani and Rossdale’s three kids — was seen publicly in LA over the weekend, for the first time since the cheating scandal broke. E! News reported she was looking a bit like Stefani herself, in a black leather jacket and platinum blond hair, and that she’d left town for a few days to avoid attention.
Stefani, meanwhile, was hitting the Hollywood party circuit. On Saturday, she attended the Baby2Baby Gala with her brother, then later popped up at a starry party after the Governors Awards, spies told us.
