Blake Shelton tweets support for Gwen Stefani during AMAs

Blake Shelton wasn’t in the audience to cheer on girlfriend Gwen Stefani at the American Music Awards Sunday night, but he wasn’t shy about voicing his support from miles away.

The “Voice” mentor shared three words of encouragement via Twitter before his new gal pal hit the stage to perform her soulful single “Used to Love You.” After a follower tweeted to Shelton, 39, praising the 46-year-old singer’s performance, he shared his thoughts with over 14.4 million followers.

After reps for the No Doubt rocker confirmed their relationship earlier this month, Stefani and Shelton not only stepped out publicly together, but the country crooner made several appearances on the mom of three’s Instagram feed.

And while their romance is relatively new, Stefani, who split from husband Gavin Rossdale after 13 years of marriage in August, never misses a moment to gush about Shelton.

“I think he’s hot, don’t you,” she joked during an interview with Ryan Seacrest. When pressed about Shelton’s recent divorce from fellow singer Miranda Lambert, Stefani continued to state the obvious. “It is kinda crazy we both went through the same thing at the same time.”

Shelton and Lambert, 32, divorced in July after wedding in 2011.
