Even though Miranda Lambert thinks Blake Shelton is “an amazing man,” she doesn’t regret ending their marriage.
“Marriage is a tough business, and we gave it our best college try,” the 32-year-old told Cosmopolitan (via Entertainment Tonight).
But whether or not their relationship was long for this world, Lambert is glad they gave it a shot.
“I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is,” the “Little Red Wagon” singer said. “I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted.”
While Shelton, 39, has moved on with fellow “Voice” coach Gwen Stefani, Lambert is in less of a rush and just wants to take her time before deciding what her next step is.
“Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, ‘Man, this sucks right now,'” she told the magazine.
Lambert and Shelton announced they were divorcing after four years of marriage in July.
