Lyme disease to blame in Yolanda and David Foster’s split

Did Lyme disease kill the marriage of David and Yolanda Foster?

According to sources familiar with the couple, Yolanda’s ongoing, all-consuming battle with the syndrome added to the stress on their marriage — which they announced this week is over.

The split comes after Yolanda’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars, including Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards, questioned her condition.

“They’ve been having problems for a while but have been hiding it,” a source told Page Six of the Fosters’ breakup, adding, “David thinks Yolanda always plays the victim . . . and he got sick of it.”

The source added: “Yolanda is always trying to be so self-righteous. But he’s a straight shooter . . . and everyone knows it. He just felt that everything was about her.

“David thinks everything revolves around her and her illness. It’s become the biggest narrative of her show,” our source continued.

A pallid-looking Yolanda was criticized by castmates on the show recently for attending a dinner with no makeup.

Reports have also said the pair grew apart because hit-maker David traveled so much while Yolanda stayed home to battle the illness. Yolanda, mother of top models Gigi and Bella Hadid, wrote online this week: “Becoming chronically ill has definitely given me a greater understanding of human nature, and I’ve learned to accept people’s lack of long-term compassion for others while they live their busy lives.”

Then again, in October, David was by Yolanda’s side at the Global Lyme Alliance gala, where she declared: “Thank you to my courageous husband for making actions speak louder than words and standing by me during this very painful journey . . . You married a Lyme baby.” She revealed her daughter Bella and son Anwar have Lyme disease, too.

Gigi also addressed the issue at the gala, saying, “There were so many people that were uninformed and quick to shame [my mom] just because she looked good on the outside.”

Reps for the Fosters had no comment.
