A night after starring in NBC’s “The Wiz Live!” as Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West, R&B diva Mary J. Blige was in the audience of another hit musical — “Hamilton.”
The “Family Affair” singer was seen in the crowd at the Richard Rodgers Theatre along with Sir Ian McKellen, Val Kilmer, Tony Roberts and Ben Stiller — marking the fourth time the “Zoolander” star’s seen the show, spies said.
When Blige went backstage, the “Hamilton” cast admitted they’d had TVs tuned to “The Wiz” a night before to sneak peeks at her show during any breaks in theirs. Both “The Wiz Live!” and “Hamilton” share a costume designer, five-time Tony Award nominee Paul Tazewell.
