Jane Fonda’s ticked off that Vanity Fair moved its Oscar party

At least one Hollywood icon’s pining for the old Vanity Fair Oscar party.

Jane Fonda was at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles this week, where Graydon Carter threw the magazine’s star-studded Academy Awards gala from 2009 to 2013, and telling high-powered pals she wishes it never moved.

Spies said Lily Tomlin was hosting a dinner at the hotel’s Tower Bar with guests including “Grace and Frankie” co-star Fonda, as well as “The Big Short” director Adam McKay, Ellen Page and Topher Grace.

“It was a nice, intimate dinner,” said a witness, adding, “During cocktails, Fonda would not shut up about how angry she was that Vanity Fair had moved the party.”

VF expanded it last year to a custom-designed space that connects the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts with Beverly Hills City Hall. (Fonda, 78, didn’t seem to mind the spot too much at last year’s VF Oscars bash, as she basked on the red carpet in a Zuhair Murad gown.)

Also at Tower Bar as Fonda held forth were Johnny Depp, Sean Penn and Jason Segel. Reps had no comment.
