Images from the set of the Bernie Madoff movie “The Wizard of Lies” showed Robert De Niro as the spitting image of the Ponzi schemer. But the method actor said the resemblance was in part already there.
“Physically, I made it look more the way his looks are — the profile and the hair are similar,” De Niro told Haute Living magazine. But he added, “I had a couple of things that were already there.”
The star behind the Greenwich Hotel said of expanding his Nobu restaurants into a luxury hospitality brand: “I always felt like we were asked by other hotels to come in and give them more credibility and cachet, and I said, ‘Why are we not trying that ourselves? Why are we not taking advantage of that?’”
