A slew of celebrities and athletes in San Francisco for the Super Bowl packed the city’s St. Regis hotel on Thursday to celebrate NFL legend-turned-actor Jim Brown’s 80th birthday.
Ludacris, Swizz Beatz, Ashley Greene and NFL stars Emmitt Smith, Ray Lewis, Curtis Martin and Ronnie Lott toasted the great fullback with Louis XIII cognac.
The event, in honor of Brown’s Haute Living cover, raised more than $160,000 for his Amer-I-Can foundation.
He told the mag of turning 80, “It’s challenging, because you can’t do physically, obviously, things that you could do.” But, “If I’m coming through an airport and the guy says, ‘Mr. Brown, you want a wheelchair?’ What you mean, man? I don’t want no wheelchair. It’s like, damn.”
