Michael Moore hospitalized for pneumonia ahead of film release

Michael Moore has been in intensive care all week at a New York hospital with pneumonia, and was forced to cancel all promotional stops for his new movie, “Where To Invade Next,” including appearances on Conan O’Brien and Bill Maher’s shows.

“I have to be honest, with my absence . . . I’m now worried about my film’s release,” Moore posted on Facebook.

The movie, in which he examines attitudes toward life and work among Europeans, hits theaters on Friday.

Further complicating things is that the entire marketing plan consisted of Moore doing interviews and screenings across the country.

“Naturally, I loved this plan, but none of us stopped to think what would happen if I got pneumonia!” he wrote.

The rabble-rousing director blames his poor health on wearing himself down by doing too many things at once, including helping out with the water emergency in his hometown of Flint, Mich., and stumping for Bernie Sanders while also promoting the film.
