Cynthia Bailey delivered a troubling update on her five-year marriage to Peter Thomas this week.
“Peter and I are not in a great place right now,” Bailey, 48, revealed on SiriusXM’s “Reality Checked with Amy Phillips.” “Honestly, I don’t know what’s going to happen with us right now, we’re still trying to figure it out.”
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” cameras have chronicled the couple’s every move since they tied the knot in 2010. It’s an aspect of their relationship Bailey suggests has complicated things.
“We’ve never been married outside of the show,” she added. “And I don’t think that’s helped us. It’s been tough.”
“I have nothing to compare my marriage to outside of being on the show and it’s just being difficult,” she explained. “Everything about our marriage has been difficult. I never said we were perfect. I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
In June 2015, the model responded to video of Thomas, 55, canoodling with another woman. The video surfaced on social media and spread like wildfire. She labeled his actions “inappropriate” and “embarrassing.”
Thomas apologized for his behavior, but claims the unidentified woman was just a friend.
