Divorcing Drew Barrymore appeared upbeat at ASPCA’s Bergh Ball and 150th anniversary gala Thursday, where she was honored.
“I’m not a big speech preparer,” she said. “I try to just speak from my heart and my whim.”
Drew, who’s splitting from husband Will Kopelman, brought InStyle editor Ariel Foxman as her date and sat with Martha Stewart and Nathan Lane.
She’s been on the charity circuit this week, having been honored by the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
