Potential Trump VP Gingrich doesn’t feel like singing

Newt Gingrich is rumored to be a potential veep pick for Donald Trump, but he wasn’t in a singing mood over July Fourth weekend. Spies said Gingrich and wife Callista were in Aspen, Colo., on Sunday to see soprano Renée Fleming sing.

But, “during an encore of ‘I Could Have Danced All Night,’ Fleming asked everyone to sing along — but the Gingrichs didn’t,” said a spy.

Perhaps it was a bid to seem seriously vice-presidential?

Gingrich was in town for the Aspen Ideas Festival, where he declared earlier of the GOP race: “Trump won because while others talked, he kicked over the table.”

Also at the fest was Vice President Joe Biden, who asked during his own Q&A with Walter Isaacson, “Newt, are you going to do it? That’s all I want to know. I want to get to the important things.”

Gingrich shouted from the crowd, “Should I?” Biden replied, “I think [Trump] needs the help, yes.” Also in Aspen were Secretary of State John Kerry, former US Labor Secretary Ann Korologos and columnist Tom Friedman.
