She said of managing to pull off a surprise, secret wedding, “We looked at a venue in the US, but we also looked abroad, and the castle in England just seemed magical, and perfect. We have good friends around us so everyone kept the secret.”

She added, “The wedding was like a fairytale.”

The couple exchanged their vows at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, and Ciara wore a custom gown with a cathedral-length train created by Roberto Cavalli creative director Peter Dundas.

Ciara said of married life, “Everything is sweet, we are so happy, this is really the happiest I have ever been.”

While Wilson was not present at Saturday’s event at Ron Perelman’s Creeks estate in East Hampton, Ciara added, “He’s getting ready for the season. He’s strong.”

She performed a series of hits at the Apollo bash – described as the ultimate Hamptons event of the summer – which was hosted by Perelman, Patriots owner Bob Kraft, Jon Bon Jovi and Dick Parsons and raised $5 million for music and educational programs for kids at the historic Harlem theater.
