Tori Spelling forced to pay $38K credit card debt

Tori Spelling has a big bill coming her way.

A judge ordered the “Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?” star to pay an American Express bill of $37,981.97, plus $855 in court fees after a default judgment in August, E! News reports.

American Express sued Spelling, 43, in January over failed payments dating back to August 2015.

It’s not the only debt that Spelling and husband Dean McDermott owe: The couple was hit with a $259,000 tax lien in July.

Spelling famously inherited only $800,000 of father Aaron Spelling’s $600 million fortune when he died in 2006.

The mother of four has been supporting herself and her family with reality shows including “True Tori” and “Tori & Dean,” as well as voiceover work and Instagram posts for everything from ice cream to clothing. Mom Candy told TMZ in January, “I’ve been helping her out. I’m paying all her bills now. I’m not paying extras like … any back payments [on credit cards]. Just for the house and the kids’ school and the food.”

In Spelling’s 2013 memoir, “Spelling It Like It Is,” the actress explained how growing up rich gave her a flawed financial perspective.

“It’s no mystery why I have money problems,” she wrote. “I grew up rich beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. I never knew anything else. Even when I try to embrace a simpler lifestyle, I can’t seem to let go of my expensive tastes. Even when my tastes aren’t fancy, they’re still costly. I moved houses to simplify my life, but lost almost a million dollars along the way.”
