Harvey Levin’s ‘No. 2’ leaving TMZ

One of TMZ’s most senior staffers has left the celebrity news organization.

Page Six has learned that Mike Walters — who served as the Web site’s news director and the executive producer of its online show “TMZ Live,” as well as being a fixture on the “TMZ on TV” show — has made his exit after 13 years with the company.

With his trademark T-shirts, gelled hair and goatee beard, Walters — described as founder Harvey Levin’s “No. 2” — became one of the most recognizable faces on the TV show.

We’re told his sister, Liz Walters, who ran its court reporting operation, also left in recent weeks.

TMZ sources said Walters is considering establishing his own operation.

TMZ said it won’t comment on staffing matters.
