It was over before it began between Christie Brinkley and David Foster.
The supermodel and the Grammy-garnering music producer hit it off last summer at Ronald Perelman’s Apollo Theater benefit in East Hampton.
Then, they went on two dates while LA resident Foster, 67, was visiting New York around the holidays: a dinner at Polo Bar, and an Andrea Bocelli concert at Madison Square Garden.
But Brinkley, 63, isn’t devastated by a National Enquirer story with photos of Foster leaving an LA topless bar with a “stunning blonde” he allegedly took to a nearby hotel for the night.
“[Brinkley and Foster] are not a couple,” a Brinkley source told me. “They sporadically keep in touch. They are friends.”
Foster, chairman of Verve Records, has won 16 Grammy Awards from 47 nominations. He has also been married four times. His fourth wife was Yolanda Hadid, mother of models Gigi and Bella Hadid.
Brinkley has also been married four times, including to Billy Joel and Peter Cook, the architect who likes younger women.
Brinkley and Foster seemed like a perfect match.
