“Voice” coach Gavin Rossdale may not be celebrating a winning act this weekend.
But at least he has something to shout about in his love life.
The Bush frontman is dating for the first time since splitting from Gwen Stefani. He has been seeing German model Sophia Thomalla — who is 24 years his junior and a year younger than his daughter Daisy Lowe.
I’m so pleased for Gavin as I spent some time with him over the past few months and he is one of the nicest guys in the industry.
A source said: “It’s very early days but Gavin is really taken by Sophia.
“They met on the touring scene and there’s plenty of chemistry. They’re having fun and the relationship has the potential to turn serious if that continues.”
They won’t be short of conversation on intimate dates, given their previous relationships.
And Sophia’s are even more eventful than Gavin’s. She wed rocker Andy LaPlegua from Norwegian band Icon of Coil last March, weeks after ending her five-year relationship with Till Lindemann from German hard rock band Rammstein.
Gavin, who is the only coach in the final of “The Voice” without an artist, split from Gwen in 2015 after 20 years and three sons together.
This is his first real relationship since their divorce a year ago, after his friends unsuccessfully tried to set him up with Tiger Woods‘ ex-wife, Elin Nordegren.
Gavin opened up about his love life when he visited Bizarre earlier this month, telling me he wanted his next romance to happen naturally.
He said: “Any relationship is so much about a degree of compromise, so my boys ask me more than I think about it, when am I going to get a girlfriend?
“But I’m so busy that I just think, those things anyway, they just happen.
“It’s the kind of thing that when you’re not looking is when Cupid strikes.”
If that’s the case, Gavin must have had his eyes closed completely.
