Jon Gosselin’s stripping debut more awkward than sexy

Jon Gosselin can add another job to his resume – stripper, though strip club emcee might be more accurate.

The former reality star celebrated his 40th birthday by making his “stripping” debut at the “Untamed Male Revue” at Dusk nightclub in Atlantic City, N.J., on Saturday night.

But the father-of-eight didn’t fully disrobe for the primarily female audience who had forked over $40 a pop for a chance to see him get down.

In a video of the performance obtained by the Daily Mail, Gosselin can be seen pole dancing in a hula skirt to Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy” before unbuttoning a red Hawaiin shirt to reveal his rotund, tanktop-clad chest.

The paper reported that he also “gyrated” along to songs like “Pony” by Ginuwine and “SexyBack” by Justin Timberlake in between introducing the actual strippers and spraying the crowd with a fire extinguisher.

As quickly became clear, the whole production was an April Fool’s joke, but before anyone gets too mad at the former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” for hoodwinking people out of their hard-earned, know that he reportedly donated as a portion of what he made from the show to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

In a Facebook video posted after the performance, Gosselin claimed to have broken the internet and explained away the whole experience as a “social experiment.”

“What started as a great social experiment turned out to be an incredible experience, and I’m glad planet Earth still cares about me,” he said. “Everyone wants to know why I did this. I’ve been under media scrutiny for a good part of my life, 10 years. I wanted to give myself the best 40th birthday present ever. I wanted my family and my friends to be there and why not have a huge party with an amazing venue?”
