Lee Radziwill rushed to hospital after fainting in hotel lobby

Lee Radziwill had a scare after she fainted in the lobby of Manhattan’s Sherry-Netherland hotel on Tuesday night, and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Elegant Radziwill, 84, the younger sister of Jacqueline Onassis, had been dining at Harry Cipriani with a friend when she was overcome in the lobby of the adjoining hotel. Friends and fellow hotel guests rushed to help her into a chair, we’re told, as an ambulance was called.

But she was soon released from the hospital after a full checkup.

A friend told us: “Lee nearly, nearly fainted, but not quite. And she’s now home and fine.”

Power dining destination Harry Cipriani is a favorite spot for glamorous Radziwill — once described by the New York Times as “the epitome of all that is considered chic,” and a regular on Vanity Fair’s “International Best Dressed” list — who was seen celebrating her birthday there in early March with friends including Carolina and Reinaldo Herrera, Vanity Fair’s Jane Sarkin, former Departures editor Richard David Story and Carole Radziwill.
