Famed photog says ‘Hot Felon’ deserves a break

After “hot felon” turned hot model Jeremy Meeks was refused entry to the UK to attend an event to celebrate his first cover for British magazine Man About Town, Steven Klein, the famed photographer who shot his smoldering pics, has come to his defense.

Klein told Page Six, “It’s not fair, he’s served his sentence and paid his debt to society. Jeremy is not a criminal, he’s very soft-spoken and calm. This is the same mentality that causes people to fear refugees coming to the country. You’re making a judgment.”

Meeks, who became a viral sensation in 2014 when his mug shot was posted online, served more than two years for possession of an illegal firearm. He was detained at Heathrow Airport, then deported back to the US last Monday.

Klein added, “Jeremy is studying acting in LA, he participates in the community, he is a real family person. He says people have told him he’s good-looking all his life, but it never helped him. He had a hard life. His father did life in prison, his mother was a heroin addict. He should be seen as an inspiration, as someone who is working hard to turn his life around.”
