Chelsea condo heightens security over crazed resident

A tony Chelsea condo building had to hire extra security to protect residents and staff from an overzealous condo board member, according to its management company.

In a letter to the residents of London Terrace Towers — which include “The Sopranos” creator David Chase — the company claimed that Lloyd Van Praagh had “engaged management in ways that can be construed as harassment, including sexual harassment (vulgar and/or lewd gestures and remarks),” which “caused management, some board members and residents to fear for their safety and privacy.”

Word in the building is that the drama may be making it tough for Chase to sell his $16 million penthouse.

Van Praagh couldn’t be reached.
