The waitress who got on the mike to serenade Mariah Carey at a party to celebrate new record label Butterfly MC Records — while Grammy winner David Foster played the piano at Catch LA recently — is New Yorker Sara Snyder.

We’re told the singer-server had interned at Epic Records. “Last night at work took an unexpected turn!” she wrote on Instagram.

“Was invited to sing a few classics with the incomparable @davidfoster and it’s a moment I’ll never forget.” Snyder sang renditions of “At Last,” “Respect” and a duet with Foster of Chicago’s “You’re the Inspiration” in front of an astonished Carey and guests Nick Cannon, LA Reid and DJ Khaled. Snyder is now working on an EP.
