Holly Peterson, who captured the 2007 zeitgeist with “The Manny,” is back in time for beach-reading season with “It Happens in the Hamptons.”
The glamorous daughter of Blackstone founder Pete Peterson launched her steamy novel at Doubles with Diane Sawyer, Hearst Magazines chief content officer Joanna Coles and George Stephanopoulos and wife Ali Wentworth.
Peterson, a surfer who has met all kinds of Hamptonites catching waves, calls it “ ‘Downton Abbey’ in bikinis.”
“A lot of bad behavior, really fun to write about,” she told me. “Nobody goes unscathed.”
