Elton John feeling better after frightening health scare

Elton John is making progress three weeks after revealing he contracted a “rare and potentially deadly” bacterial infection while on tour in South America.

“[He is] feeling so, so much better and looking forward to seeing his fans at next concert dates,” his rep told Page Six on Monday.

The legendary singer fell violently ill while on a return flight home from Santiago, Chile, and upon landing in the UK was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment, which his rep later said was successful.

The 70-year-old icon was released from the hospital on April 22, and a few days later was “comfortably resting at home per doctor’s advice.”

John’s April and May concerts at Las Vegas’ Colosseum at Caesars Palace were canceled. He is expected to next take the stage on June 3 in Twickenham, England.
