Jenna Dewan Tatum and Justin Timberlake were once perfectly *NSYNC.

The “Step Up” star, 36, appeared on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” Sunday and revealed she has a romantic past with the “Mirrors” crooner, 36. Tatum, who is now married to “Magic Mike” actor Channing Tatum, addressed the rumors of a dance-off between Timberlake and Britney Spears — courtesy of the Lifetime original movie — and admitted to their former relationship.

“OK, so this dance-off situation is, it never happened, people! It was in tabloids and everyone thought that this happened, and I really wish I could say that happened because that would be the coolest story in the world,” she told host Andy Cohen and guest Tituss Burgess. “It would be so awesome. I wish I could say that, but no, it never happened. Not that I saw.”

Tatum had become friends with Timberlake when she worked as a backup dancer for him. Eventually, their friendship developed into something more.

“I was dancing with him after the breakup, like during/after the breakup,” she continued. “I was an actress. I didn’t know what was going on. It was just the craziest, wildest thing.”

Tatum added, “We dated. Not that long. We were like friends, then dated and we’re just really good friends now.”

Although they got together after Timberlake and Spears famously split, Tatum assured viewers she was more than just a rebound.

“I was very clear not to be … I was not a rebound. We’re still good friends,” she said. “It’s not as salacious as everyone thinks.”
