Taylor Swift emerges to support her friends

Taylor Swift might have left her fans behind, but she’s still here for her friends.

Swift recently returned to Instagram to promote Haim‘s and Lorde‘s new singles, “Want You Back” and “Green Light,” respectively. And now the “Style” songstress, 27, has turned out in support of BFF Gigi Hadid. The model, 22, covers the June/July 2017 issue of “Harper’s Bazaar,” and inside the pages Swift gives an interview about her pal.

“As a friend, Gigi is one of the first people I go to for advice,” Swift wrote to the magazine via email. “She has this incredible ability to see all sides of a situation and simplify it for you, to see the complexity of people…Gigi’s #1 rule is to treat people the way she’d want to be treated, so she’s on time (or early) to work, says hello to everyone on set, asks them how they are, and actually listens to their response. She is an innately kind and inclusive person who has managed to become a huge power player and businesswoman without ever compromising that.”

Since splitting from Tom Hiddleston, Swift has been staying out of the spotlight and spending most of her time in Nashville, where she’s reportedly working on new music. Swift buddy Ed Sheeran recently told BBC News that he thought she would release an album by the end of 2017.

“Taylor [Swift] isn’t going to be releasing until probably the end of this year — Christmas is the smartest time to release because that’s when everyone buys records,” he said during his March interview. “So I’ve got a full year of just all Ed, all the time.”
