While her being cast as Donatella Versace may have initially raised eyebrows, photographs from the set of “Versace: American Crime Story” show that the actress has had little problem getting into the guise of the storied fashion house’s chief designer.
In new paparazzi snaps, Cruz looks nigh unrecognizable as she holds a cigarette in a loud platinum wig and oversized shades.
“Versace,” the third season of the Ryan Murphy anthology series, will focus on the weeks leading up Giovanni Versace’s murder at the hands of Andrew Cunanan in the summer of 1997.
The show, which also stars Edgar Ramirez, Darren Criss and Ricky Martin, will premiere on FX next year.
