More movie premieres canceled in the wake of Manchester attack

Universal Pictures has canceled the U.K. premiere of “The Mummy” after the Manchester terror attack.

“All of us at Universal have been devastated by the terror attack in Manchester and continue to stand with the community and country as it recovers,” the studio told Page Six Thursday in a statement. “Out of respect to those affected by this tragedy we have decided not to move forward with the London premiere for ‘The Mummy’ scheduled to take place next week.”

“The Mummy’s” premiere cancellation comes after Warner Bros announced the “Wonder Woman” premiere was also called off.

The Tom Cruise-starring film is set for a June 9 release.

“The Mummy” is the latest event canceled following the death of 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester on Monday. Bands like Blondie and Take That canceled shows in the immediate aftermath. Grande’s performances have been canceled through June 5.

Page Six reached out to Cruise’s rep for comment.
