Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole are trading places.
Days after LuPone, 68, skipped out on a Tonys after-party, the “War Paint” star attended a cast and crew Tonys celebration party with her fellow performers at Manhattan’s Spyglass in the Archer Hotel. This time, however, Ebersole, 64, missed out on the soiree.
A source told Page Six that Ebersole went home after the performance that night because she had come down with a cold and wanted to rest. She had previously missed four performances but has since recovered and returned to the stage.
A separate source told us LuPone was “in good spirits” at the party and mingled with cast members. John Dossett, who plays Tommy Lewis, also attended the event.
