Jesse Williams is setting the record straight.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” star and estranged wife Aryn Drake-Lee are getting divorced, but not because of any cheating — according to Williams. The 35-year-old actor makes a cameo on Jay-Z’s “Footnotes for 4:44,” which the rapper released on Tidal Monday, and addressed the hurtful rumors.
“I was in a relationship 13 years, 13 real years, not 5 years, not 7 years, 13 years and all of a sudden motherf–kers are writing think-pieces that I somehow threw a 13-year relationship—like [the] most painful experience I’ve had in my life like with a person I’ve loved with all of my heart—that I threw a person and my family in the trash because a girl I work with is cute,” he said.
In the 11-minute video, Williams appeared alongside Chris Rock, Will Smith, Anthony Anderson and more stars, who opened up about their relationships and struggles with fame.
Williams and Drake-Lee have two children together.
The former couple is gearing up for an ugly custody battle after Williams filed court documents claiming Drake-Lee was keeping him from daughter Sadie, 3, and son Maceo, 1.
