DMX accused of concealing income to avoid paying $1.7M in taxes

Y’all gonna make me pay my tax — up in here, up in here.

The acclaimed rapper DMX has been charged with concealing millions in income from the IRS to avoid paying $1.7 million in taxes.

The artist, from Yonkers, was indicted by a Manhattan federal jury Thursday and surrendered to authorities.

“For years… the recording artist and performer known as DMX, made millions from his chart-topping songs, concert performances and television shows,” Acting U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim said.

“But while raking in millions from his songs, including his 2003 hit ‘X Gon’ Give it to Ya,’ DMX didn’t give any of it to the IRS.”

A rep for DMX could not immediately be reached.
