Aaron Carter reveals eating disorder

Aaron Carter‘s biggest battles remain within.

Speaking candidly to Entertainment Tonight, the embattled singer, who was busted for a DUI in Georgia last week, discussed his declining health.

“I have a hiatal hernia, I have a stress condition it’s an eating disorder,” the 29-year-old said Tuesday.

According to the National Library of Medicine, Carter’s condition is the result of the upper part of the stomach pushing through an opening in the diaphragm, which separates the stomach and chest cavity. He’s suffered from a hiatal hernia for a decade, resulting in a 20-pound weight loss.

“I [weigh] 135, 140,” Carter said. “Yeah, and I’m 5’8”. [Doctors] said avoid stress. Because I can develop cancer.”

Though Carter also disclosed he is lactose intolerant, the singer broke down how difficult it has become to look at his own reflection.

“Oh my God, it hurts so badly,” Carter stated. “It hurts so badly because there’s like nothing I can do about it.”

While Carter uses treatments to fill his face, including Voluma fillers, enduring cyber bullying on social media has dampened his spirit.

“How would you feel every two seconds, seeing a tweet, ‘You have AIDS. Go die. Oh, look at this meth head. Oh, meth kills. Crack kills,'” Carter recalled. “I’m not a meth head. I’ve never touched it in my life.

“It is body shaming and it’s the toughest thing to deal with,” he continued.

Carter maintains he did not have any substances in his system following his arrest. Amid the turmoil, he is ready to put his life back on track.

“I am going to a training camp called D1 Combine Training and I’m going to transform my body. And get healthy,” Carter shared. “Hopefully tomorrow. We’re already working on it.”
