Alex Rodriguez says the fallout from his doping scandal was so bad that he felt like “tapping out.” In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, A-Rod said his 2014 MLB ban was his rock bottom.
“There were nights in Miami when I was close to tapping out,” said the former slugger.
But Rodriguez, who’s since built a broadcasting career and begun a romance with Jennifer Lopez, says he hopes that “in 10 years, I’ll be able to say that the ’14 sabbatical was one of the best things that happened in my life.”
