Director Alethea Jones seems to have confirmed the rumor that Anne Hathaway will play the title role in the upcoming “Barbie” movie.
At a Cinema Society and Svedka party for her film “Fun Mom Dinner,” Jones was overheard talking about casting Hathaway in the Sony movie after Amy Schumer dropped out.
Others at the bash at Jimmy at the James for “Dinner” — penned by Julie Rudd and produced by Naomi Scott — were Toni Collette, Molly Shannon and Edward Norton.
