‘Dukes of Hazzard’ star accused of indecent assault

“Dukes of Hazzard” star Tom Wopat has been accused of sticking his finger between the butt cheeks of an actress working with him in a small-town production of “42nd Street,” according to a report.

The 65-year-old actor was rehearsing his show in Waltham, Mass., on July 23 when he walked behind the woman and committed the vile act, she told police, TMZ reported.

When confronted about the allegation, Wopat denied touching the woman and said, “F— them all,” the gossip site reported, citing a police report.

Wopat also was accused of wrapping his arm around another woman’s hip, pulling her toward him during rehearsals, the police report said.

And he also allegedly pulled sunburned skin off a woman’s arm during rehearsals, authorities said.

When Wopat was arrested Wednesday he told police he had not touched anyone inappropriately – though he said he “lightly touched” the hip of one of the women as she walked by.

According to TMZ, he said he told her, “I like the way you work.”

Waltham police said in a statement that Wopat was arrested about 11 p.m. Wednesday and that cops found “two bags of white powder believed to be cocaine” in his Ford Bronco.

He pleaded not guilty Thursday at Waltham District Court to a felony charge of indecent assault and battery, and to misdemeanor drug possession.

Wopat posted $1,000 bail and ordered to stay away from the accuser, witnesses and Waltham High School, where the Reagle Music Theatre’s production was slated to open Thursday for a 10-day run, the Boston Globe reported.

Reagle honcho Robert Eagle said in a statement that the show would open with “Rich Allegretto in the role of Julian Marsh,” the role Wopat had been expected to play.

A spokesman for the actor, who declined to address reporters outside court, did not immediately respond to an email from The Post seeking comment.

Wopat played Luke Duke in the classic CBS action-comedy series “Dukes of Hazzard,” which aired from 1979 to 1985. Duke and his cousin Bo were known for driving General Lee, an iconic 1969 Dodge Charger.

After achieving fame on the TV show, Wopat embarked on a music career and also appeared on Broadway — receiving Tony nominations for his parts in “Annie Get Your Gun” in 1999 and “Catered Affair” in 2008, according to his website.
