Stars gush over Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner’s new movie

Awards buzz swept through MoMA and rooftop lounge the Skylark after a screening of the Weinstein Company’s “Wind River” on Wednesday.

The film, from writer and director Taylor Sheridan, picked up a directing prize at Cannes, opens this weekend, and had celebs gushing over performances by stars Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen.

Ashley Olsen swept in to support her sister, chatting with Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman at a Cinema Society after-party, which drew Josh Lucas, Sam Rockwell and Huma Abedin.

Crime and mystery-fiction author Dennis Lehane was impressed, and said, “ ‘Wind River’ is, without a doubt, the best movie I’ve seen so far in 2017. It’s thrilling and mysterious and dares to ask probing questions about who we Americans are these days and how it is we came to find ourselves here. Jeremy Renner gives a career-topping performance as a man who is equal parts heroism and heartbreak, and Taylor Sheridan delivers his third brilliant script in a row. So brilliant in fact, that if I wasn’t so impressed, I’d have to hate him.”
