Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen bravely ventured into Instagram’s deepest recesses for “Ingrid Goes West,” a dark comedy about social media.
“Matt Spicer, the writer-director, had Elizabeth and I look at all different types of feeds,” Plaza told us at a Cinema Society screening at Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn on Tuesday. “We kind of both allowed ourselves to indulge in Instagram while shooting. When the camera wasn’t rolling, we were on the phone spiraling into weird Instagram rabbit holes.”
