Kate Upton wants to act and is full of crap

Kate Upton takes great pride in her on-screen abilities.

“I believe in hard work and learning your craft before going out there and doing it,” the Shape cover girl said, explaining that she has spent seven years honing her acting chops in the mag’s September issue.

An MTV Movie Award nominee for Best Shirtless Performance in 2014’s “The Other Woman,” Upton, 25, has appeared in six feature films. Most recently she appeared in the William H. Macy-directed comedy, “The Layover,” due out next month.

“It was really fun to film; an awesome learning experience,” she said.

Upton’s previous shoots haven’t sounded nearly as “fun.” Sources told Page Six the blonde bombshell threw a temper tantrum over the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover last year.

“There was drama,” spilled an insider. “Kate demanded that if she did the shoot, that she absolutely must get the cover. She also has a list of photographers and hair and makeup people she would only work with.”

While Upton will appear in James Franco‘s upcoming “Disaster Artist,” there has been chatter that her diva attitude is wrecking her career.

But regardless of where her career goes from here, the future Mrs. Justin Verlander will continued to put her health first. Speaking with Well & Good, Upton revealed flushing her system has become part of her lifestyle.

“I’m also a big believer in colonics. Not only does it make you feel better — especially with all of the bad food I put in my body—but [I feel like] it helps cleanse you of any stress or any feelings you’ve been holding onto,” Upton said. “I’ve noticed a big change in everything — in my skin, my attitude, everything. You learn a lot about your body. I highly recommend it.”
