Calvin Klein hired Kate Moss because she didn’t have ‘big bosoms’

Fashion mogul Calvin Klein picked Kate Moss for his iconic Obsession ads shot by Mario Sorrenti in 1993 because he was sick of the era’s buxom “supermodels.”

“I didn’t want these girls . . . who had big bosoms,” he tells George Wayne in a new interview for Iris Covet Book. “They augment their bodies. They used artificial implants and things. They were doing crazy things to their bodies. I found that offensive. I found it really unattractive, unhealthy and a bad message to send.”

Klein’s coffee table book debuts in September from Rizzoli.

Wayne’s “quasi-memoir” “Anyone Who’s Anyone” is out December 2017 from Harper Collins.
