What a difference a year can make.
LeToya Luckett, who just last August divorced her husband of three months, is engaged, again.
“I said, ‘Yes yeeeesssss’ on his Burfday!!” the former Destiny’s Child singer announced on Instagram early Thursday. She added the hashtags “IssaEngagement,” “GodShowedOut,” “HesaGoodManSavanah,” and “LoveWins.”
Her new beau is entrepreneur Tommicus Walker, who resides in Dallas and is a father of a young daughter.
Luckett’s brother, Gavin Luckett, shared video of the proposal which shows an emotional Luckett accepting the ring while Walker is on bended knee.
“That one time @LeToyaLuckett planned a surprise BDay dinner for @IamTWalk2 but he had a bigger surprise for her. Congrats Y’all!!!” captioned the heartwarming moment.
In August 2016, it was announced that Luckett and her ex-husband, Rob Hillman, called it quits a little more than two months after tying the knot earlier in the year.
Although details of the split have been kept private, Luckett shared some insight in the spring.
“Anytime you open up and allow yourself to love and love hard, that’s the risk you take of it possibly not working out,” she shared with The Breakfast Club in May 2017. “And although we really did love and care for each other, it just didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to.”
