Zazie Beetz mourns ‘Deadpool 2’ stuntwoman killed on set

Deadpool 2” actress Zazie Beetz mourned the loss of the Bedford-Stuyvesant-born stuntwoman who was killed on the set of the sequel to the hit movie earlier this week.

“On Monday, we tragically lost one of our own – Joi SJ Harris,” Beetz said in a handwritten picture posted to Instagram Thursday.

“My heart has been breaking the past two days and I have been searching what to say or do.”

Harris was playing a double for Beetz’s character, Domino, and was filming a motorcycle stunt when she lost control and crashed through the windows of a building in Vancouver.

“I know that what I feel is nothing compared to what her loved ones, family & family, are feeling. My heart and my love goes out to her and them all,” Beetz continued. “The cast and crew send peace, healing, and their deepest condolences.”

The 40-year-old Long Island resident — who had a burgeoning career as the first-ever black female to compete in road racingwasn’t wearing a helmet at the time.

It was Harris’ first movie as a stunt rider, and she’d just signed on last week.

Filming of “Deadpool 2” resumed Wednesday as it was revealed that Harris wasn’t wearing a helmet because there wasn’t enough time to get one specially made to fit under her wig.
