Norman Reedus wants to take Cher for a ‘Ride’

If Norman Reedus could turn back time, he’d share screen time with Cher.

“I tried to get Cher on ‘Ride [with Norman Reedus],’ ” the actor, 48, revealed to CNET in an interview released Tuesday. “That would be awesome. So somebody like Cher or maybe like Marianne Faithfull. We’d both wear one-piece leather outfits with fur on the inside, like that movie ‘The Girl on a Motorcycle.’ That’d be fun.”

Though he’s at the center of the AMC travel series”Ride,” Reedus admits that he still identifies with his crossbow-carrying “Walking Dead” alter-ego Daryl Dixon.

“I think of Daryl all the time. Everybody calls me Daryl — no one even knows my name anymore,” he admitted. “There’s a lot of me in him and a lot of him in me.”

Reedus, whose character spent the bulk of Season 7 in captivity, also promised fans they’ll see more of him in Season 8, which premieres Oct. 22.

“It feels like our original show again. I didn’t love last season, shooting it. I didn’t see anyone,” he said. “I was crying all the time. I was naked and eating dog food. It was just no fun. This season feels like our show again.”

While he wouldn’t reveal whether or not a Daryl’s time on the show may be coming to an end, he did ruminate on how he’d want the fan-favorite character to go out.

“I think you’d see a sunset,” he said. “I would walk up over a hill and then a little wolf puppy would come out of the woods and follow me up, and people would just go, ‘Whatever happened to that guy?'”
