Ex-pal says Dykstra’s ‘trashy’ hotel antics are nothing new

Hard-partying Lenny Dykstra has a history of “trashing” hotels to the tune of six figures, according to sources.

At fancy Hotel ZE in Southampton last weekend, the former Mets star was accused of leaving his room strewn with liquor bottles and stealing a receptionist’s sunglasses, among other incidents.

Dykstra told us, “It’s all lies.”

But a former pal of Dykstra’s says that it’s not the first such tale. The insider says that back in the day: “The room repairs after his hotel checkouts were in the six figures. He was even banned for a while at the Carlyle . . . $28,000 at the Four Seasons New York. There’s volumes of his heinous behavior.”

Dykstra denied any wrongdoing, telling us, “Are you kidding? I am a hotel dream! I stay at the St. Regis more than anyplace,” and, “I should be guest of the year.” He also explained that the sunglasses he was caught swiping on video at Hotel ZE were his. “What? Is she the only person with Ray-Ban sunglasses?” he asked. “They are mine.”

Last year, Dykstra recounted a wild hotel story in his tell-all, “House of Nails,” claiming he once sat next to Robert De Niro at a St. Barts eatery when, “the next thing I knew, we were . . . in his suite and it was powder [bleeping] city,” a cocaine reference.

De Niro previously gave us a one-word response: “Bulls - - t.”

The source also disputed this, saying, “Lenny never met De Niro in St. Barts and did drugs.”

The source says the stars did cross paths in the British Virgin Islands in 2000, when De Niro simply asked Dykstra to turn down his music. “Lenny checked into a villa adjacent to one occupied by De Niro, his wife and infant.” When Dykstra “cranked up the stereo . . . De Niro politely knocked and introduced himself” to say of the noise, “It’s no big deal, but I’m next door with my wife and baby.” A “hammered” Dykstra slurred an offer to “tour his villa,” but De Niro said he’d just move rooms and left. “He was the consummate class act and gentleman.”

Of the other De Niro tale, Dykstra said, “Read the book, bro,” then referred us to his publisher.
