Piers Morgan is down for the count.
The TV personality, 52, broke three ribs after falling on his “a**e,” as he shared on his Twitter account Tuesday.
Morgan was treated at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
“BREAKING (literally…) NEWS: I’ve broken 3 ribs falling flat on my a**e. Thanks to @ChelwestFT staff for speedy treatment,” Morgan wrote.
Some Twitter users are taking Morgan’s injury as an opportunity to throw jabs at the hothead — and he has been quick to publicly respond. One user tweeted, “Nobody cares about your broken ribs you fat attention seeking c–t,” and Morgan sarcastically responded with, “Many thanks for your kind thoughts, Jake. They are greatly appreciated at this difficult time.”
The journalist also tweeted that the Arsenal soccer team manager could be causing him more grief than his injury: “Trying to work out what’s causing me more pain, Wenger or 3 broken ribs. Fairly sure it’s Wenger.”
