Michael Bloomberg no longer gets nervous at his daughter’s horse shows

Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg had 28 guests spread over two ringside tables at the Hampton Classic Horse Show to watch his daughter Georgina Bloomberg take the big jumps during the $300,000 Grand Prix event over the weekend.

“I don’t get nervous watching her anymore, I’m used to it now,” said Bloomberg, as he watched avid equestrian Georgina knock into a jump but miraculously stay on her horse.

Over the years, the expert rider has fractured her spine and broken her back, collarbone, both wrists, an ankle and had at least three concussions. Plus, she has also competed while pregnant.

The mayor was dapper in a purple sweater while his girlfriend Diana Taylor wore coordinating purple and flowered leggings, but it was Georgina’s baby son, Jasper, that had the sartorial edge in a snappy Panama hat with a red band and red-white-and-blue painted sneakers.

Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs supplied the mayor’s table with lobster and shrimp rolls. Also swanning around the VIP tent were Brooke Shields, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, CNN’s Don Lemon, Tony Ingrao, equestrian Randy Kemper, Donna Karan, and Douglas Elliman’s Howard Lorber and Dottie Herman, whose company was a sponsor.

Photographers were hunting down Madonna, who was rumored to be hiding in a corner behind a hat and sunglasses.
